Charities

Friends of Newcastle Middle School is the charity attached to the Newcastle Middle School site. 

Whilst we actively encourage families and friends to participate, the committee is made up primarily of school staff, and holds many fundraising events during the year including:

• Golf Day
• Bunnings BBQs
• Chocolate Drive
• Easter Raffle. 

The charity is pivotal to supporting applications for grants from other charitable organisations, which have supported major improvements to the school including playground equipment, a liberty swing and new buses.

These include:

• Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation
• Greater Building Society
• Variety
• Port Waratah Coal Services.
